Tennessee AgrAbility (TNAP) exhibited at the TN/KY Beginning Farmer Summit at Battle Mountain Farm. Tennessee Department of Agriculture and Farm Service Agency hosted a great conference about all USDA and TN resources for beginning farmers.
Tennessee hosted the first FVC of TN board meeting, and TNAP is part of the Farmer Veteran Coalition "Special Ops" advisory team. FVC of TN has over 600 members who are veterans who want to farm in TN. Tennessee AgrAbility is working with the veterans with disabilities to educate the beginning farmers and give access to appropriate assistive technology. TNAP staff presented AgrAbility at the FVC of TN networking event. Big THANK YOU to Michael O'Gorman, national FVC founder, for working with TN! Also appreciated are Cindy Chastain, National AgrAbility veteran outreach coordinator, and Sara Creech, FVC of Indiana, for coming to support this work!
TNAP exhibited at the West TN Grain Conference and met with the engineering and computer department heads at the University of Tennessee at Martin to discuss working together on projects. This will be a new networking outlet for the Tennessee AgrAbility project.
