NC AgrAbility at NC STRIVE Central East ConferennceOn June 6, NC AgrAbility participated as a poster presenter at the 2019 NC STRIVE Central East Conference. NC STRIVE's goal is to provide services and support leading to student veterans' success in two-year and four-year public and private institutions of higher education in North Carolina. It offers a multi-track system of enriched, informative, and relevant breakout sessions that are tailored to three main audiences: student veterans, higher education staff and faculty, and community professionals who have a primary touch point with military service members, veterans, or their families. Dr. Kyle presented three posters: "NC AgrAbility Project: A Collaborative Effort," "Utilizing Shared Experiences to Design a Humanities Education Course for military Veterans," and "Community of Practice? Exploring the Facilitation of Social Capital in an Agricultural Program for Veterans." The event was attended by over 300 participants.
