Warren Eicher with his combineIt's a long way to the top. Warren Eicher of Montcalm County had some safety issues when climbing into his combine and tractors after joint replacements and rotator cuff injuries. A ladder with an extra step Added step on combine ladderreplaced the factory installed steps leading up to the combine cab. The equipment modification was paid for by Michigan Rehabilitation Services and fabricated by Orlan Martin in Sheridan, MI. Michigan AgrAbility is thankful for their partners who make the workplaces safer for individuals like Warren to work for many years to come.

Alpha Gamma Rho fraternityMichigan AgrAbility is proud to partner with such a giving group of men, the brothers of Michigan State University's Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Alpha Gamma Rho presented Michigan AgrAbility a $20,000 check, the proceeds of their hard work hosting the 2019 Beef Preview and annual Hog Roast. Their work supporting Michigan farmers with disabilities is so very much appreciated... THANK YOU!

Want to be a part of something bigger?? Michigan AgrAbility's Ned Stoller is coordinating a new International AgrAbility Network community of interest group. The International AgrAbility Network (IAN) will be gathering low-tech assistive technology ideas that can help people with disabilities working in agriculture around the world. The first event was an online discussion regarding low-tech solutions for holding tools with hand impairments on December 11. Members will periodically receive an email showcasing low-tech ideas. If you would like to join the International AgrAbility Network community of interest and/or be part of the online discussion, please contact Ned at stollerned@postpro.net.
