Georgia AgrAbility staff and more than 700 people attended the Georgia Organics Conference on February 7. Staff were able to share with participants about AgrAbility. Staff had the opportunity to be able to tour various organic operations in the local Athens area. Georgia AgrAbility staff toured: The Pastures of Rose Creek, a sustainable pasture-raised beef operation; Little Flock Farm, a small scale, pasture-raised poultry operation; and Woodland Gardens, a USDA Certified Organic highly diversified produce operation.


Pecan productionPeanut production

On February 11-12, staff attended the Georgia Grown symposium, a two-day event packed full of informational sessions and an all-day farm tour to visit agritourism operations in the middle Georgia area. Tour stops included a pecan growers and processors operation, a peanut production facility, and a Georgia Grown retail experience.
