KS AgrAbility at Women Managing the Farm ConferenceThe Women Managing the Farm Conference was held February 13-14 in Manhattan, KS. Since 2005, this event has been bringing together women farmers, rural business leaders, and landowners. Kansas AgrAbility is a strong supporter of this conference and was at the conference with an exhibit table, a variety of technologies, and knowledgeable AT ag specialists to answer questions and to demonstrate devices. Attendees were invited to get their hands on technology! Additionally, Kansas AgrAbility specialists Lesa Clubine and Karin Rasmussen, along with Sheila Simmons, ATK program coordinator, presented two sessions: "Assistive Technology for Arthritis" and "Mobile Health and Diabetes."

Central Kansas KAP AT Ag Specialist Cassie Ramon attended the Women in Ag event in Overbrook, KS February 27th. Cassie shared information about identifying working tools, techniques, and operations; defined what disabled means and what qualifies as a disability; and discussed outreach to younger farmers, encouraging them to take precautions and care of themselves before problems begin.
