The NAP's veteran outreach coordinator, Cindy Chastain, attended the Louisiana Women in Agriculture Conference in Alexandria, LA, on March 12-13. Although this was the last few days before travel was suspended for many across the country due to COVID-19, at least 300 people participated in this event. Cindy set up a display table in the exhibit hall and did a presentation titled "AgrAbility and the Farmer Veteran Coalition." In retrospect, some may question why the conference wasn't postponed because of the virus threat, but the positive and joyful atmosphere of this conference, especially to women farmers, was palpable.
