Poster that reads - Tools for Life - Georgia's Assistive Technology Act ProgramOn June 15, Georgia AgrAbility staff met with Georgia Tools for Life, which is the state AT project. Staff discussed various assistive technologies with them that can benefit a farmer with dyslexia. Multiple items were discussed and they had several to loan that the farmer can try out before purchasing. One of items, a C-Pen Reader, seems really promising for the farmer. There are also a multitude of ways to customize Apple products for someone with dyslexia. Studies suggest that dyslexia may be more prevalent in the farming population than the general population.

Staff participated on June 29 in a working group at the University of Georgia to plan for a statewide virtual viewing of the film "Hearts of Glass." In addition to the virtual viewing, there will be a live virtual question and answer session with the film director and two Vertical Harvest employees. Staff was excited to speak directly with the filmmaker on the 29th in preparation for the showing.
