During the month of August, Colorado AgrAbility was quite busy researching and writing a grant proposal under the OPPE RFA for a 2501 grant to assist underserved, socially disadvantaged farmers and veterans to have improved access to USDA programs and funds. The concept is to provide one-on-one mentoring and assistance in business planning and financial process analysis with feasibility studies. As an unexpected benefit, staff touched base with the Colorado Veterans To Farmers program. They also were writing a grant proposal. Staff were able to assist each other, and if either organization receives funding, both will benefit from ongoing collaborations.
