Kansas AgrAbility and Kansas Rehabilitation Services (VR) are working on digital training for new VR counselors. In the meantime, KAP staff conducted virtual regional trainings for the Kansas City metro area, a thriving area for small producers. The training focused on an explanation of KAP services, case studies of farmers and small growers served in the past, and how to access services for current customers. KAP staff repeated regional trainings for VR counselors serving the eastern third of the state and a third training for VR staff in the northwest region. Trainings were similar with the exception of updating case studies to reflect agriculture operations in those regions.
