Kansas AgrAbility Project (KAP) Coordinator Tawnie Larson presented information about AgrAbility to the Fort Riley Army soldiers in the Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) for 2021 National Agriculture Day. The presentation is an annual event and included Kansas AgrAbility partner SAVE Farm (Service Member Agricultural Vocational Education). Larson emphasized SRAPs, as most of the WTB members are not from Kansas.

KAP staff monthly Zoom meetings include guests that provide state resources available for staff and customers. March's KAP meeting featured a member of the Kansas State University Farm Financial Analyst team who provided details of their services to Kansas farmers and ranchers. Services include a comprehensive view of a farmer's financials to analyze overall profitability and what changes may be needed going forward. Kansas also has a Farm Management Economist Association that is county-based and works with farm families year-round. Its services include tax planning and preparation. Both programs are part of the agriculture economics department at KSU.
