AgrAbility for Africa


White-washed 2-story hotel with evening lights on & round fountain in foreground with palm trees in background against an evening skyOn November 1 and 2, the AgrAbility for Africa staff will be hosting the inaugural Annual AgrAbility for Africa Training Workshop that had been earlier scheduled for April 27-28, 2020, at Lake Victoria Hotel, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic-related restrictions. The Africa Training Workshop will be held in Entebbe, at the Lake Victoria Granada Hotel, same venue under new management and brand.

Sessions will run from Monday November 1 through Tuesday November 2 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00p.m. Eastern Africa Time (EAT) each day. Program topics will cover a wide range of relevant, practical knowledge and training from how to leverage resources to direct service to clients, networking with other clients, service providers, and agency representatives. These educational programs will increase individual knowledge, support the use of new technologies, encourage peer networking, and provide a direct service to agricultural workers in need.

During the training, staff will be joined by farmers, ranchers, international and local experts in different fields of Agricultural health, farm management, assistive technologies, and occupation rehabilitation, among other fields.
