Occupational therapists (OTs) and certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) are an important referral source for Kansas AgrAbility. KAP staff provided a session at the annual Kansas OT Association conference on September 24th. Sheila Simmons provided information on typical farm and ranch chores to help OTs and COTAs better understand skills their clients need to continue in an active role in production agriculture. Additionally, information on AgrAbility services and how to make a referral was shared with participants.

The cruise is an annual fundraiser for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. The 30-mile cruise included over 30 tractors and took place on paved county roads in northeast Kansas. Larson was lucky to ride with a longtime participant from Beatrice, Nebraska, whose tractor sported a cart with a canopy. To learn more about Angelman Syndrome click here.
