Wisconsin AgrAbility staff, along with their partners at Easterseals Wisconsin and the UW- Marshfield Ag Research station, hosted the Wisconsin Vocational Rehabilitation counselors for a "day in the life" on-farm training in late April. Staff had over 35 counselors join them for a day of hands-on training, learning how cows are milked, calves are moved and fed, using a cattle chute, getting in and out of skid steers, and driving tractors. Staff also partnered with Life Lyfts by Life Essentials showing how a lift can be used in many different ways.
Staff hosted their annual AgrAbility of Wisconsin Summit in Cashton, WI, at the Organic Valley Headquarters. There were four different presentations: from local FSA, WI Farm Center, WI Farmer Veteran Coalition, and UMASH. All attendees enjoyed each session and the location.
