Nebraska AgrAbility has partnered with Nebraska Extension to have a paid intern for the summer of 2022. Leah Schmidt will be joining the team to help with social media, educational booth planning, and new fact sheets to share statewide. She will also be spending a few days shadowing rehab specialists as they work with AgrAbility clients. Leah stated, "I have grown up around agriculture my whole life and I have had family members and family friends impacted by agriculture-related accidents. I am starting occupational therapy school in the fall and thought this internship would give me hands-on experience for how Nebraska AgrAbility is helping individuals get back to farming and agriculture as I hope to help farmers and ranchers after I complete occupational therapy school."
