Leah Schmidt is the Nebraska AgrAbility summer intern. Leah has been developing and sharing social media messaging and promoting AgrAbility on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/nebraskaagrability. She has also updated the Nebraska AgrAbility coloring book sheets and is creating educational activities for upcoming shows and events. Staff appreciate Leah's hard work and wish her the best as she heads back to school to continue working towards her doctorate in occupational therapy. Leah says "Throughout my summer with Nebraska AgrAbility, I have learned more about what this amazing program does for injured farmers and ranchers. I have been able to interact with farmers and ranchers while also helping create and work on different projects for them. I have learned so much over the summer and I'm very thankful for this opportunity."

The Nebraska AgrAbility team recently met in-person to plan and coordinate efforts ahead of a very busy time of year for programming and events. Those who could not attend in-person were able to join the meeting virtually. The team also viewed a demonstration of the updated Nebraska Rural Response website at https://farmhotline.com. In addition to helpful resources for the rural community, the website features the new universal call or text 9-8-8 to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
