Black turkeys and white turkeys in a net-type enclosure with a green bucket next to them.Maine AgrAbility's Boots-2-Bushels continued with its monthly in-person workshops. In August, the group met at Grace Pond Farm in Thomaston to learn about the gateway animal into livestock - poultry farming! Participants learned about how to raise chicks and poults into a viable business. These farm tours are also open to new Maine farmers participating in the Maine New Farmers project supported by the USDA.

Staff added a great video to complement Maine AgrAbility's FishAbility blog post: Let's Do the Twist. As the Maine Coast Fishermen's Association (MCFA) stated in their monthly newsletter, "If it works for Tom Brady, it can work for the fishing fleet. Adding a stretching and pliability routine to your normal fishing day can help keep you healthy and safe. Maine AgrAbility has been working with MCFA to help spread information about proper stretching techniques and movements that can help keep you happy and healthy on the water."
