Georgia AgrAbility is offering a tractor safety workshop in Blairsville, GA, on November 4th. The Project has recently had an increase in the number of new farmers with little experience operating a tractor. This workshop is designed to teach new farmers the safe way to operate large machinery. The day will feature classroom learning in the morning and hands-on tractor operation in the afternoon.

Staff attended the Georgia Organics September 2022 Farmer Field Day: Work Smart, Work Sharp: Choosing and Maintaining the Right Tools for your Farming Operation. It was held September 26th at Gaia Gardens in Decatur. Host Stephanie Simmons of Polyculture Productions led the day with a farm tour along with demonstrations of several implements used on location. Spike from Sweet Hone Atlanta closed the event with a tool and knife sharpening presentation and demonstration.
