Maine's Boots-2-Bushels: Boot Camp for Market Gardeners completed nine months of educational training to veterans, farmers with disabilities, and beginning farmers. Thirteen participants finished the course out of 31 who started in January. Staff is reviewing surveys and finalizing reports in order to inform next season's programming.

Staff participated in the September session for the Mechanized Logging Operations Program (MLOP) in conjunction with Northern Maine Community College. Nine student loggers increased their understanding of ergonomics through fun, meaningful activities. They further received individualized assessments to learn their ideal seating position in various logging machines.
