Virginia

AgrAbility Virginia was a popular topic for many audiences during the month of October. The team presented about AgrAbility to a range of groups, including: Appalachian Center for Independent Living, veterans hospital disability fair, Virginia Cooperative Extension agents, Brunswick County SFOP group, and staff even hosted a "Feeling Good in the Garden and on the Farm" event for community members.

Program Coordinator Garland Mason was invited to present virtually to Virginia Tech University CALS alumnus, where she shared how AgrAbility assists farmers and gardeners across the state. Virginia Tech's development office assisted by coordinating the presentation with the launch of a fundraising campaign to fund assistive technology for farmers in need. Additionally, a news station in Roanoke, Virginia, highlighted AgrAbility on their newscast with a feature story.
