The Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) fundraising campaign for benefit of AgrAbility closed at the end of November. It was a huge success, as the program was able to raise $8000, including a $5000 donation from Gorilla Carts. CALS development is helping to continue fundraising efforts and has added AgrAbility VA as a highlight for VT Giving Day at the end of February. All funds will go directly to farmers needing AT who are not eligible for other sources of funding or who have urgent needs. The team will develop an application that will allow fair distribution of funds to farmers in need.

The partnership with Mary Baldwin University health sciences capstone students ended during the month of December. As a result, the students provided two draft publications and accompanying flyers ready for staff additions and review. These publications and flyers are aimed at informing physical therapists and occupational therapists about the unique needs of farmers.
