AgrAbility staff participated in the 2023 Maine Agricultural Trade Show in Augusta, Maine, January 10-12. Using "Pain" as this year's theme, staff had 160 conversations and 19 client contact requests. Additionally, AgrAbility's OT doctoral student, who is helping to validate a staff-developed tool to rate pain, signed up 30 people willing to be part of that validation study.
Boots-2-Bushels received a $50k grant from the Extension Risk Management Education program for the period 4/22 - 9/24. Funds will be used to support the programming for beginning farmers with priority to veterans and farmers with a disability. There are currently 42 registered for the 2023 cohort, and classes began on January 17th.
