AKAgrAbility was represented again this year at the 2023 4-H Ag Expo on the Kenai Peninsula in early August. DeShana York along with ag & hort agent Casey Matney spoke with numerous people at the event and provided information about CES and AgrAbility. DeShana did some impromptu AT demonstrations and engaged folks to try some of the tools on for size while explaining how AgrAbility is helping some clients across the state.
The AKAgrAbility team was very busy at the end of August through the first week in September with outreach engagements such as the Veteran Stand Down in Fairbanks and the Alaska Palmer Statewide Fair. DeShana York gave an overview presentation about AgrAbility and demonstration with a health, home & family development agent, Julie Cascio, at the State Fair and some other general public demonstrations throughout the Fair's schedule of events.
