Illinois AgrAbility hosted the Health and Safety Tent at the 2023 Farm Progress Show held in Decatur, IL, on August 29-31. Representing 15 organizations across Illinois and the nation, the tent provided health and safety resources to farmers and the agricultural community as well as access to free health screenings and services. Free screenings included hearing and vision screenings, blood pressure testing, blood glucose screening, ear fit protection, and eye pressure screenings. In addition to the health screenings,the Health and Safety Tent offered agricultural safety demonstrations, agricultural assistive technologies on display, information about stress management and mental health, and resources for parents to keep children safe on farms. Over 1,000 Farm Progress Show attendees visited the tent throughout the three days.
