California AgrAbility and the Puentes Network hosted an educational event for over 50 community promotores in Yolo County and the surrounding areas. Throughout the event, representatives from local agencies and organizations gave presentations on the topics of mental health and immigration, and attendees were given the opportunity to network and share resources. A local soccer coach, who provides free coaching to children in Knights Landing, and a representative from Winters Healthcare, who assists farmworkers in obtaining healthcare, were presented with awards for their work in the community. Attendees provided great insight into existing services and future mental health resources they think would benefit the agricultural community. Overall, it was a great turnout, and everyone is looking forward to the next event!
