L to R - Sinafoa Tavai - Emily Whittier - Zippy Duvall inside large buildingEmily Whittier, Washington AgrAbility co-coordinator, attended the USDA's Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnership's conference, "Prosperity and Sustainable Livelihoods: Partnerships to Address Suicides in Farming Communities." The conference took place in Washington, DC, and convened many key stakeholders in rural health. Emily works with both the farm stress program at WSU Extension and Washington AgrAbility, and met many others who work with AgrAbility or are interested in learning more about getting AgrAbility programs into a state without a SRAP. It was great to connect with other agricultural professionals thinking about the intersections of physical and mental health, and staff are so glad to be able to do both kinds of programming in the state of Washington.
