The AgrAbilty for Africa staff is currently engaged in HIV/AIDS and diabetes outreach awareness, and at the same time spreading knowledge on success stories of living and working productively with HIV and diabetes. This is to support mental health and spread hope to those affected in rural farming communities.
Topowa, a youth group with a mission to mitigate HIV/AIDS stigma, has invited AgrAbility for Africa staff and Uganda Junior Rangers to team up on community health campaigns to encourage positive living while fighting AIDS stigma. Starting December 2023, the AgrAbility staff will be joining these outreach events - starting with the coastal fishing market vendors to spread the HIV prevention message and encouraging testing for fishing community members for a potentially disabling health condition, if ignored.
