LIFE - Legacy Innovation Farming Economics - Project poster at Purdue College of Ag gathering. On October 13, the Purdue University College of Agriculture sponsored a Global Food & Nutrition Security and Human Health Poster Networking Gathering. The purpose of the program was to spotlight the wide variety of ongoing research and engagement projects Purdue students and staff conduct to improve the access to safe, nutritious food across the globe. Indiana AgrAbility Extension Engagement Coordinator Ed Sheldon joined 34 other participants from throughout the College of Agriculture, sharing a poster highlighting the Legacy Innovation Farming Economics (LIFE) Project. The LIFE Project supports the efforts of small scale and underserved farmers by connecting them with USDA resources and programs (including AgrAbility). The gathering provided the opportunity to not only discuss the LIFE Project, but also introduce numerous Purdue researchers, Extension specialists, students, and alumni to the Indiana and National AgrAbility Projects.
