It's a been a busy fall season for California AgrAbility. This month staff participated in a farmworker retreat, "Cultivemos Salud," hosted by WRASAP, De Colores non-profit, and Yolo County. About 40 farmworkers from Woodland, California, and the surrounding areas, led a discussion on mental health moderated by bicultural therapist Lupe Nambo, LMFT. Together they enjoyed lunch and entertainment followed by a group stretch. Throughout the retreat participants shared their experiences with mental health and working in agriculture before closing out the day with a session on cultivating community. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the retreat and are looking forward to the next one.
