Texas AgrAbility collaborated with West Texas A&M University engineering students to design and build a lift for an AgrAbility client. The client is an amputee with a cattle and hay operation. The lift allows him to get into and out of his tractor safely so he can feed his cattle this winter. Thank you to the students who drove eight hours each way to install the lift and teach the client how to use it.
The Texas AgrAbility peer group met for its quarterly meeting. The featured speaker was an AgrAbility client who has started a produce and nursery operation in the past five years. He shared tips and resources with members of the group. The peer group map was also highlighted for group members to find other mentors and individuals with disabilities in their area or with similar ag production.
