The Colorado AgrAbility Project (CAP) successfully completed this year's Aging in Agriculture Winter Workshop series on February 2nd in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Two prior workshops were held in Kermmling and Fort Morgan Colorado in November.
The workshops included an introduction to CAP and its associated resources that are available to agricultural communities. Conversations were led by AgrAbility behavioral health specialists surrounding emotional well-being and how to get the most miles out of their "mental engine" with stress management and wellness techniques. Following a catered lunch, a presentation educated participants on strategies to enhance their safety and independence as they age. Representatives from the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and community health agencies were also present at the workshops.
