On January 23rd and 24th, the Florida AgrAbility case coordinator staffed a booth at the South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach. This event annually hosts over 500,000 attendees. FL AgrAbility displayed adaptive tools and program material and offered several different giveaway items to attendees.
On January 30th, the Florida AgrAbility UF project directors and the case coordinator attended CIL (Centers for Independent Living) Day at the Florida capitol in Tallahassee.
At CIL day, staff spoke with legislators to spread awareness of Florida AgrAbility and its success. Florida AgrAbility recently submitted a special budget request in hopes of receiving state funding to assist the program in directly providing farmers with equipment modifications and new technology/tools.
