A pilot program was launched in partnership with Easterseals UCP for individuals living with disabilities in a NC group home. Residents alongside Extension agents and volunteers assembled and planted raised garden beds for the home. Watching the life cycle of the plants, caring for them, and utilizing them in their own meals will be an impactful way for these individuals to participate in the agricultural community.
