AgrAbility PA staff member Marci Walborn (OT, ATP with UCP Central PA) presented to a group of OTA students at Central Penn College on May 15. This was an opportunity for AgrAbility PA to pilot the introductory presentation/course which is targeted to OTs, other rehabilitation professionals, and medical professionals. The goal of the course, and series, is to increase their knowledge of AgrAbility along with some of the known risks and injuries farmers face each day on the farm. The pilot presentation elicited feedback from the group to help guide us in our development process.
AgrAbility PA's Marci Walborn presented to Rodale Institute Farmer Training/Veteran Farmer Training Program on Friday, May 17. The presentation focused on AgrAbility and types of assistive technology available for farmers in a variety of farm settings. Resources and different funding options were also reviewed.
