The Georgia National Fair is held every October in Perry, GA. Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency had a large "Day at the Fair" aimed at getting students interested in agriculture. They invited Georgia AgrAbility to be a part of their booth and one of their stations to talk about AgrAbility. Staff also showed the project's Action Track Chair to over 1,200 students.
Georgia AgrAbility was thrilled to have Florida AgrAbility and South Carolina AgrAbility with them again this year at the 46th annual Sunbelt Ag Expo! It is wonderful to showcase the work and services of multiple programs to farmers in the Southeast. The expo was three days filled with interacting with farmers and students while also getting to find some new equipment that will benefit AgrAbility farmers.
Georgia AgrAbility staff member Mason Dean presented to the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Agronomy Club about AgrAbility services. The group was very attentive and asked wonderful questions about accessibility. Most of the students come from a farming background. After the presentation, students were able to try out the assistive technology in Georgia AgrAbility's Mobile Learning Lab.
