Kara Smallegan, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences OTD student, worked with Texas AgrAbility over her 16-week OTD capstone project. She is a Michigan native that comes from a farming family. She combined her experience between both Texas AgrAbility and Michigan AgrAbility to complete 18 farm and ranch assessments for AgrAbility clients. She worked with Texas AgrAbility staff to pilot a farm assessment tool, create ergonomics for women in agriculture modules, and complete farm assessments for clients who were not eligible for vocational rehabilitation. Kara presented her project at the end of October and will be graduating in December. Kara was a great asset to the Texas AgrAbility team this fall.
