Ohio AgrAbility started January presenting on "Making your fair accessible to people with disabilities" at the Ohio Fair Managers Conference and ended it with "Fitness for Farm Life" at AgPro Safety Day. At the fair Conference, OAP staff reviewed the legal requirements for accessibility and best practices for inclusion and shared several examples of providing seamless access to all exhibitors and visitors. Attendees were asked to share their ideas and experiences with accessibility and inclusive shows and how to proactively plan programs and events at the fair.
OAP's "Fitness for Farm Life" presentation started with an overview of Ohio AgrAbility services, then reviewed body mechanics, ergonomics, and safe lifting. The presentation ended with a short stretching activity, which included attendees demonstrating their favorite stretches.
