This month, the SC AgrAbility team hosted its annual Agriculture Awareness Day with the ClemsonLIFE Program. "The ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University offers a collegiate experience that prepares young men and women with intellectual disabilities for competitive employment and independent living through academic coursework and career exploration." During this year's event, students in the program planted blueberry bushes at the Clemson Restoration Agriculture Farm on Clemson University's campus. In the coming years, the students will be able to return to the farm and harvest blueberries from the very plants that they helped plant. Students were also able to explore various aspects of agricultural machinery and precision agriculture, including drones and machinery equipped with autosteer technology. This event's overall goal is to highlight agriculture's importance and inclusiveness.
