The Colorado AgrAbility Project received funding from the High Plains Intermountain Center for Agriculture Health and Safety through the "Emerging Issues" program for four projects.

  1. "Expanding AgrAbility's Support of Agriculture Workers in Northeastern Colorado." This initiative will support two summer workshops, in English and Spanish, to take place at feedlots, meat packing plants, and/or other agriculture-based facilities to provide AgrAbility outreach and education. Additionally, CAP will be working with a CSU graduate student to develop an interactive mapping tool that identifies local, regional, and statewide Colorado resources related to ag and behavioral health.
  2. "Creating Inclusive and Accessible Agriculture Safety Training." This funding will support the convening of a safety and accessibility advisory board to inform the development of a new training curriculum for adults with disabilities. Additionally, an inclusive employment guide for ag producers will be developed to provide best practices for offering a safe and inclusive ag work environment for all people with disabilities.
  3. "AgrAbility Behavioral Health Expansion and Evaluation of the LandLogic Model." This funding will allow for the expansion of CAP's capacity to deliver LandLogic, a training program for behavioral health providers serving ag clients by training an additional instructor. Additionally, the project will offer the opportunity to conduct a single group, longitudinal evaluation study with LandLogic participants, assessing practitioner self-efficacy, initial application of LandLogic practices in therapeutic settings, and perceptions of client response.
  4. "Evaluating the Office of Engagement and Extension's Behavioral Health Stigma Reduction Efforts in Colorado" will (1) develop an instrument to assess stigma reduction and help seeking behaviors among rural and agricultural communities in Colorado and (2) begin to assess stigma and help seeking behaviors among participants of CSU OEE Behavioral Health team facilitated workshops, Legacy viewings, and other presentations.
