Twenty-three members of Indiana AgrAbility advisory team met for their spring meeting at the FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar, IN, on June 29. Both the staff reports and the updates from the advisors, consultants, and partners were lively and appreciated by all. Among the updates was a report from Bill Field on the current status of the pause order issued by the U.S. government to many AgrAbility projects including the IN Project and the National Project. Both IN and NAP staff are pressing forward in their work while not engaging in the planning of new activities that would significantly affect the budget until the pause is lifted.
Among the highlights of the day was a tour of the FFA Center's outdoor facilities - including their low-ropes course which is the second largest in Indiana. A lively discussion of the course and other outdoor facilities such as the beach and woodland trails ensued, as Adam Sweet, executive director of the FFA Center, requested the advisory team's help in coming up with ways their facilities could be made more accessible for their campers.
