Program Manager Emily Jacobson recently presented at the AgriMed Course hosted by the UNMC Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (CS-CASH) in Omaha. The course focuses on key health and safety issues affecting rural and agricultural workers, with expert-led sessions tailored for professionals in health care, public health, education, and safety. Burton also attended and may be able to share additional insights on the course.
With county fair season in full swing, the team has been actively engaged in creating positive experiences for youths and families through 4-H events, volunteer efforts, and educational outreach. Staff are grateful for the opportunity to support youth development and showcase Extension programming. Looking ahead, they're preparing for a busy fall season with the Nebraska State Fair, Husker Harvest Days, health fairs, and their upcoming OT/PT training.
