August was a busy month for AK AgrAbility. Art Nash, Debu Misra, and volunteer Pauline Bennett-Gannon attended the Deltana State Fair in Interior Alaska and had numerous conversations with past and potential clients and the public, promoting awareness of the services of AgrAbility. Occupational therapist Pauline Bennett-Gannon provided more in-depth assessment information and consultation with suggestions for modifying farming practices.
ATLA also promoted AgrAbility in several venues and provided assessments of previous clients and new clients. On July 31st, staff attended the Southeast State Fair in Haines, AK. Almost all who stopped by the booth were avid gardeners/farmers and were excited about the offerings of the AgrAbility program.
