Another election cycle in the East-Africa states has resulted in missed reviews, surgeries, and rehabilitation sessions, leading to increased negative medical and rehabilitation outcomes due to disruptions in public transport, restricted or blocked roads, internet blackouts, and freezes on banking and digital financial services.
With the gradual restoration of services, AgrAbility staff is working with selected emergency cases in the region to support rescheduling of appointments, while also encouraging the uptake of malaria vaccinations to help reduce infant and maternal mortality rates in farming, informal coastal fishing, and island communities.
