ATLA staff provided a presentation to the Leadership Education on Employment for People with Developmental Disabilities group. The participants were community-based employment providers and excited to learn about the services provided through Alaska AgrAbility. Staff also attended a local health fair in Juneau, Alaska. They provided information and resources for residents with disabilities who work in agriculture. Additional outreach at the Delta Farm Forum was planned but cancelled due to -40 F temperatures.
Three Alaska AgrAbility staff members and two farming clients successfully traveled to the annual AgrAbility National Training Workshop. They all benefited from the workshops, networking, and offsite visits. Alaska's two guests provided very positive feedback and excitement about farming/ranching possibilities.
