Georgia

On May 26th, Georgia AgrAbility staff and the wife of an AgrAbility client presented at Shepherd Center Rehabilitation Hospital about AgrAbility services. The AgrAbility client was a patient of the Shepherd Center, so it was impactful for the therapists and rehab staff to hear firsthand how one of their patients was able to utilize AgrAbility to return to farming after an accident. While there, staff were able to connect with a patient from another AgrAbility state. Staff look forward to getting them connected with the AgrAbility team in their state.

The Georgia AgrAbility staff presented at Fort Valley State University's Change, Progress, and Restoration Workshop on June 29th. As well, staff demonstrated agricultural assistive technology firsthand, and participants were able to interact with various types of assistive technology. More than 50 farmers, ag professionals, Extension staff, and Head Start personal attended.
