Monday, June 19
2:00 p.m. ET
Since 1911, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) has been dedicated to carrying out its mission of preparing and empowering people who are blind or visually impaired to be self-sufficient and contribute to their families and communities. Programs and resources supporting this mission include: a low vision center; vision wellness and prevention services; vision rehabilitation therapy; orientation and mobility training; career and training services; and adaptive technology.
Join members of the ABVI team as they provide highlights in vision wellness and prevention, high-tech solutions for maximizing vision and functioning with limited or no vision, and lower-tech solutions that can make a large impact for a low investment.
Presenters will include:
- Dr. Allison Ford – Low Vision Doctor
- James Hallahan – Assistive Technology Instructor
