Proposals are now being accepted for breakout session presentations at the 2009 Grand Rapids AgrAbility National Training Workshop (NTW). More

The first AgrAbility all-staff call of 2009 has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 at 3:00 EDT; 2:00 CDT; 1:00 MDT; 12:00 PDT. More

The NAP is scheduled to conduct an online survey related to AgrAbility standing committees and communities of interest. More

Indiana

Indiana AgrAbility and the National AgrAbility Project are collaborating with the Northwestern University Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (NURERC) to study the durability of prosthetic components used by agricultural workers. More

Missouri

During the month of February the Missouri AgrAbility Project was out and about across the state and region for events such as the 29th Annual Small Fruit and Vegetable Conference, the 2009 Western Farm Show, and the Southern Cotton Ginners Association Mid-South Farm & Gin Show. More

Jackie Allenbrand, AgrAbility Rural Outreach Specialist-Northwest Region, Midland Empire Resources for Independent Living, presented an AgrAbility and P.H.A.R.M. Dog program. More

Pennsylania

Through RME funding, AgrAbility provided sponsorship to the PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture's (PASA) Farming for the Future conference in February. More

Vermont

The Vermont Dairy industry has been hit with record low milk prices this year, following high feed prices and record high prices for fuel over the summer. The Vermont AgrAbility Project along with RAVR (Rural and Agricultural Vocational Rehab),  the  University of Vermont Extension, and the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, have teamed up to produce a listing of resources for farmers in need. More

The Vermont Farm Health Taskforce is a collaborative effort...The Taskforce premiered AgriSafe “Agricultural Occupational Health and Safety Training” in Vermont in the fall of 2008. More

Wisconsin

AgrAbility of Wisconsin hosted its annual Advisory Council meeting at the West Madison Agricultural Research Station in December 2008. More

"Assistive Technology Equipment Recommended for and Obtained by Farmers with Disabilities" was presented at the Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). More

The University of Wisconsin has continued its initiative to build awareness and increase service capacity among occupational and physical therapists working with farmers who sustain a disabling condition. More
